Creamy, rich, and mildly spiced—Paneer Butter Masala is one of North India’s most iconic vegetarian dishes. Soft cubes of paneer are simmered in a velvety tomato-butter gravy flavored with aromatic spices, making it a crowd-pleasing favorite.

Paneer Butter Masala recipe—North Indian favorite with paneer cubes in creamy tomato gravy, spiced with chili and coriander. Perfect with naan or rice.





✨ Ingredients

  • 200g paneer, cubed

  • 2 Tbsp butter + 1 Tbsp oil

  • 1 onion, finely chopped

  • 2 tomatoes, pureed

  • 1 Tbsp cashew paste (soaked cashews blended smooth)

  • 1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

  • 1 tsp Kashmiri Red Chili Powder (farm fresh 🌿)

  • 1 tsp Coriander Powder (farm fresh 🌿)

  • ½ tsp turmeric powder

  • 1 tsp garam masala

  • ½ cup cream (or milk for lighter version)

  • Salt to taste

  • Fresh coriander for garnish






👩‍🍳 Instructions

  1. Heat oil and butter in a pan. Add onion and sauté until golden.

  2. Add ginger-garlic paste, cook for 1 minute. Stir in tomato puree and cook down until glossy.

  3. Mix in chili powder, coriander powder, turmeric, and salt. Cook 2–3 minutes.

  4. Add cashew paste, then ½ cup water. Simmer for 5 minutes.

  5. Stir in paneer cubes and garam masala. Simmer gently 2 minutes.

  6. Finish with cream and garnish with fresh coriander.
